Potatoes and the human body can either react good, or bad. Potatoes have almost all the nutrients for the human being to survive. If a potato is exposed to light while growing, it’ll turn green and become poisonous. Potatoes have been studied by NASA because they can keep the human body full for a longer time than any other food.
Potatoes in the older years helped a lot. The Inca Indians were the first to farm the potato crop in 8,000 BC. Sir Walter Raleigh introduced potatoes to Ireland in 1589 on the 40’000 Acres of land near Cork. It took nearly four decades for the potato to spread to the rest of Europe. Idaho actually did not start farming potatoes until 1836, when Missionaries moved West in an effort to teach the Natives about growing crops.
a potato is a member of the Solanaceae group. A sweet potato is not a member of the potato group. A tomato is part of the potato group. Nightshade is part of the potato group. Tobacco is part of the potato group.
